Training try-out

A training try-out allows you to learn more about the educational institution that interests you and about the contents of the training.

If you have difficulties in choosing a profession or field and want to be sure of your plan before applying for training, a training try-out is the right service for you. During the training try-out, you will get an idea of the requirements of the training and profession in question, so taking part in a try-out is a great way to make sure that the field is suitable for you.

The contents of the training try-out are customised to suit your individual situation. You get to choose the educational institution in which the training try-out takes place. Please contact Päijät-Häme Employment Services so that you can assess the suitability of the service for your situation with your employment specialist.

During the try-out, you will be able to attend lessons and have discussions with the teachers and the guidance counsellor. If necessary, you can receive assistance for planning your use of support services for studying.

The maximum duration of a training try-out is 10 days at a time. Several training try-out periods can be arranged if necessary; the need is always assessed on a case-by-case basis by the Päijät-Häme Employment Services.

You need to agree with the educational institution on the provision of feedback and possible reporting of absences.

The try-outs are organised either as individual or group services.

If you are an unemployed job seeker, you will be paid an increased unemployment benefit for the duration of the try-out.
