The aim of the multisectoral services promoting employment is to promote employment in the open labour market in a targeted and systematic manner by providing employment, social and health services, as well as the Social Insurance Institution of Finland Kela’s rehabilitation services, in line with the individual’s service needs.
The multisectoral service model identifies the individual barriers and the prerequisites that the job seeker has. The aim of the service is to remove or reduce obstacles to employment related to, for example, one’s life situation, state of health, work and functional capacity, and talents and vocational skills.
The necessary employment services, social and health services, and rehabilitation services are coordinated in a multidisciplinary employment plan prepared in collaboration with several authorities. The purpose of the shared service of multisectoral support service promoting the employment of young people is to promote young people’s study opportunities, employment, capabilities for action, and wellbeing.

As a rule, referral to the service is made through the Päijät-Häme Employment Services, social and health services, or the Social Insurance Institution of Finland (Kela).
