Job coaching

If you need personal help and guidance for looking for a job or choosing a field of study, job coaching is a service that suits you. Job coaching is tailored to your needs. With the job coach's support, you will discover and make visible your competence and strength in the labour market.
You can get support from a job coach when

• you are looking for a job or study place,
• you write a job application,
• you prepare for an interview, and
• you enter into an employment relationship.
  Job coaches have information on the employment situation in different sectors, and they are in contact with different employers.
  If you do not get the job after contacting the employer or submitting a job application, the coach will analyse the application situation with you.
  When you have found a suitable job, the job coach can help you get started at the workplace. Before the parties enter into an employment relationship or at the beginning of the relationship, a job coach may also assist an employer who is applying for a subsidy from the Päijät-Häme Employment Services or considering the need for a subsidy for arranging working conditions.
  Your job coach will also support you when the job includes training that improves your professional skills, that is
• you begin apprenticeship training during which your employer receives a pay subsidy, or
• you work with the help of a pay subsidy and participate in training organised by the Päijät-Häme Employment Services during the employment relationship.
  The duration and content of the coaching will be agreed upon before the coaching starts. You can receive personal job coaching for up to 50 hours a year.
